When water is going somewhere it should not, the first ten minutes matter more than anything else that happens afterwards.
Ring me on 0458 976 262. I answer at 2am, and while I am on the way I will talk you through shutting the water off so the damage stops getting worse.
What counts as an emergency
A burst or leaking pipe, especially inside a wall or a ceiling
Water coming up through a floor waste, or a drain backing up into the house
No water at all
A hot water system leaking heavily
A toilet that will not stop filling and is overflowing
A gas smell. Turn the gas off at the meter, open the windows, get everyone outside, then ring
Some things feel urgent at 9pm and genuinely are not. A dripping tap or a slow-draining sink can wait until morning and will cost you less if it does. I will tell you which one you have got while you are on the phone, rather than turning up at midnight to bill you for it.
Before I get there
Your water meter is usually at the front boundary. Turning the tap next to it clockwise shuts the water to the whole house and buys you time. For a hot water system there is a second isolation valve on the cold inlet at the top of the unit. If you cannot find either of them, stay on the phone and I will find it with you.
What it costs
I quote before I start, at 2am the same as at 2pm. No call-out fee dressed up as something else, and you will know the number before anything happens.
Why the phone actually gets answered
I am a one man operation based in Baulkham Hills, ten minutes from Castle Hill. That is the whole reason it gets picked up at 2am instead of going to a message bank, and it is why my Google reviews sit at a straight 5.0. You are not being triaged by a call centre.

Do you really answer at 2am?
Yes. I am a one man operation, so the phone comes to me rather than a message bank. If I am already on a job I will tell you straight away what the wait looks like instead of leaving you guessing.
What should I do before you arrive?
Shut the water off at the meter, usually at the front boundary, by turning the tap clockwise. If it is a hot water system, there is a second valve on the cold inlet at the top of the unit. Stay on the phone and I will find it with you.
Is there a call-out fee?
I quote before I start, at 2am the same as at 2pm. There is no separate call-out fee dressed up as something else.
Is a dripping tap an emergency?
Usually not, and it will cost you less if it waits until morning. I will tell you on the phone which one you have got rather than turning up at midnight to bill you for it.
What if I smell gas?
Turn the gas off at the meter, open the windows, get everyone outside, then ring. Do not switch anything electrical on or off on the way out.
Which suburbs do you cover after hours?
Castle Hill, Baulkham Hills, Kellyville, Bella Vista, Rouse Hill, Winston Hills, Northmead, Seven Hills and nearby.
